The Valley-Wide Counseling & Support Center Springfield location is having an Ice Cream Social on July 16th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Stop by and have some ice cream and find out a little more about the services available in Springfield. There will be yard games and coloring activities as well as the Baca County Sheriff’s Office will have the Rock Climbing Wall in the parking lot for those who want to rock climb.

🍴✨ Cleaning out your kitchen or junk drawers this summer? Don’t toss those extra utensils!
Our Life Skills class is looking for kitchen items you may have lying around: spoons, spatulas, peelers, measuring cups, you name it! These items won’t just be used for cooking, but also to help students grow their knowledge in tool identification and practical life skills. 🧠👩‍🍳
If it’s something you’d use in a kitchen, we can put it to great use! Thanks for helping us build a hands-on learning environment! 💛

Baca County 4-Hers attended State 4-H Conference this past week and what a week it was! Members participated in contests, attended workshops, and received high accolades.
🍀Jorji was a member of the District VI Livestock Quizbowl Team. They secured the Reserve Champion spot in the contest. At the awards banquet she received two Colorado 4-H scholarships and was named the 2025 Colorado 4-H Outstanding Youth Leader. She also gave her retiring address and rounded out her year of serving as the Colorado State 4-H President.
🍀Anabelle participated on the District VI Parli Pro Team. Their team took home Champion honors. Anabelle also participated in the Team Robotics competition where her team placed 4th.
🍀Slade and Avila participated in FCS Skill-a-thon. They had a great day and are excited to participate in the contest again next year.
🍀Billy, Eli and Landen participated in the Team Robotics competition. Their team “Baca Crushers” crushed the competition helping them win Champion Junior Team.
🍀Adalyn and Delainey also participated in the Team Robotics competition. The “Gigglers” placed 4th in the intermediate division.
🍀Anabelle, Lynley and Devin represented Baca County in the senior division of Team Robotics. “The Olympians” had a 4th place finish.
We are so proud of all our members who traveled to Fort Collins to represent Baca County! Their hardwork and dedication paid off!
